Attractions

Pandas! - Although the food in Chengdu is amazing the real reason you're coming here is the pandas! Your destination for this is the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, usually just called the Chengdu Panda Base. It has its own metro stop so getting here is easy. 

Leshan Giant Buddha - Although this isn't technically in Chengdu it is an easy day trip away and a must see destination. 

Sichuan Opera - You've probably heard about the face changing acts that originate in Sichuanese opera but there's so much more. There are a lot of options for seeing the opera but we would recommend going to a show at the Chengdu Culture park. It will be much cheaper than some of the bigger more touristy choices. 

Historic streets - Known as the "Wide and Narrow Alleys" these streets have been around since the 17th century and are now a popular sightseeing destination. The streets are packed with restaurants and shops and are a great place to find souvenirs for your friends and family back home.
