Dinner - Chengdu is all about the spice. You'll find a huge variety of dishes utilizing the power of Sichuan peppercorns, a berry that has a strong herbal/floral aroma and the power to numb your tongue. You can't leave Sichuan without having a Hot pot feast but we'd also recommend dishes like ShǔiZhǔ Yú, spicy boiled fish, or the classic Mápó dòufǔ (but be aware that mapo tofu in china is not a vegetarian dish)
